I dont have a ticket from this gig at Rock City, Nottingham, but I bought the programme. The band were touring the above album which contains some of their finest songs. A great gig.
I like watching and listening to live music - always fancied myself as a guitarist but never put in the hours of practice and didn't have any natural talent! - I have kept most of the tickets from gigs I have been to so I thought it would be good to post about the gigs in a blog

Hawkwind November 12th 1985
I dont have a ticket from this gig, but I have the programme. The Chronicle of the Black Sword is a great album and this was a great gig at Rock City, Nottingham. I remember being fairly well to the back as the wall of sound was immense.
The band (or some of them) were wearing white lab coats which helped the illusion of mad scientists.
Long Ryders 7th October 1985
I dont have a ticket from this gig at Rock City, Nottingham, but I was there. Long Ryders were touring their 'State of our Union' album with the hit 'Looking for Lewis and Clarke'.
I remember waiting for the gig to start and this tall guy in boots, side burns and cowboy hat walked past me. It wasn't until the band came out that I recognised Sid Griffin. Really great songs with twin guitars.
