Dingwalls, Hull
This was the first major gig I had been to. I first heard the band on the BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock show. The venue was fairly compact but had an annoying pillar or two to obscure your view in some places. I bought a programme:
I remember the band had an extra person to play flute and acoustic guitar on some pieces - e.g. 'Firebird'. They would have played songs from 1982's 'Chase the Dragon' and also the newly released 'The Eleventh Hour'. No doubt 'Kingdom of Madness' would have been the encore. Bought a T-shirt from a seller outside not realising it was an unofficial copy.
I like watching and listening to live music - always fancied myself as a guitarist but never put in the hours of practice and didn't have any natural talent! - I have kept most of the tickets from gigs I have been to so I thought it would be good to post about the gigs in a blog
